This month you can, with a special competition only open to our eNews subscribers. Or ― you could win flights, accommodation, tickets to the Festival, and SGD 1000, by entering the Asia-Europe Short Story Contest, Long Way Home. Offered by the UWRF in partnership with the Asia-Europe Foundation, the contest will award two prizes ― one to a European writer and one to an Australasian writer. Submissions close on 3 August 2013, so start writing! Aspiring and established writers may also want to consider attending the Back Stage Bali Writer's Retreat in Bali this October. It includes a four day writer's intensive before our Festival, and a week-long mountain retreat afterwards. Also on before the UWRF is the International Balinale Film Festival, from 4-10 October. Two very good reasons to extend your trip.
